The 4 Major Advantages Employees Have That Business Owners Don't Have.
These 4 benefits would help you make decision.
If as a fresh graduate I had the opportunity to choose between getting a job and starting a business, I would simply subscribe for a job – a 9-5 that will not just pay me well but drain me to the bone.
I would prefer to work for an organisation whose goal is to ensure I not just earn but learn greatly. I would work my ass out till I begin to see some business characteristics in me.
There are so many people struggling with their businesses simply because they lack some of these traits they should have acquired while working a nine to five job. And I don't want you to miss out on this before you resign from your job.
It's better you are reading this from me now than if I allow you to make the same mistake I could say I made.
However, this is not to say that you can't learn or acquire some of these business skills on the go. You can! The worst thing that will happen to you, like it happened to me, is to pay heavily for them through reading, attending more seminars including free and fee based, choosing a mentor early enough, staying up late, waking up early and acting on everything you learn.
Yes, I had to pay all of that to see meaningful progress in life coupled with my life's pursuit which is to teach the truth so people can make informed and better decisions.
There are more benefits you get from a 9 to 5 but in this article I'll only share four.
1. High Supervision
I have reviewed and interview job seekers on several occasions, I have even employed sim of them added one thing I have noticed in their CVs is 'ability to work under little no supervision'. But the reverse is the case as most of them really need some high level of supervision to get work done. The truth i hate to share smis that most of employees don't care while the few who care can actually make things work for the organization. You should be the latter because you will also have your own business someday and you will expect more from people.
2. Learning Opporrunity
If there is anything I maximized more as an employee for the few months I worked, it is the learning privileges. It is always the joy of any organization to see her team (staff) members get better at work and would do everything possible to get them trained.
So those internal trainings and sometimes external trainings and seminars, employees are exposed to are to make them better, not just for the company but much more for themselves.
The only thing any employee can take from the organization is the skills (knowledge) he has acquired. The capacity you develop or the knowledge you acquired from any platform is more than anything else. Knowledge is superior to salary.
3. Steady Income
This can be an enough reason for anyone to onsider settling for a 9-5 before business. Entrepreneurship is not easy and start up stage can really be frustrating. When money isn't coming in as expected, you can be discouraged.
With a 9-5 job, your income can be steady except on rare cases where the organization is undergoing internal crisis. Employees can be so sure what their gross income in a year would be than a business owner can ascertain.
4. Leave Opportunity.
I don't take a break from work since I started out as an entrepreneur. Yes, maybe because I've done different busiesseses at different times and all of those entwrprises required maximum attention to grow them.
Yet, the reality for employees is that they are expected to take few weeks of break from work in a year. More so, these breaks are compulsory for them and must be enforced and ensured by the organization.
For employees, going on these breaks still requires they get paid even if they are on the beach all through. Empliyees are super heroes.
